Taylor Swift Chooses Dior for Wedding Dress

1 month ago 0

The anticipation surrounding Taylor Swift’s wedding dress ended with her choice of Dior. Before tying the knot with Travis Kelce, Swift opted for a gown designed by Jonathan Anderson, the creative director of Dior. Anderson, who joined the fashion house last year, aims to enhance its global recognition.

Swift’s dress, yet to be unveiled, is expected to set trends. This decision marks a significant moment for Anderson and a triumph for Dior’s CEO, Delphine Arnault, who played a key role in bringing Anderson to the brand. Swift’s selection aligns with her preference for fairy tale aesthetics over avant-garde or understated styles, emphasizing timelessness over fleeting trends.

This collaboration is notable as it’s the first time Swift has worn a creation from Anderson at Dior. Previously, she donned a design by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Anderson’s predecessor, at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. Recently, she has also been seen with various Dior handbags.

Some speculated Ralph Lauren might design the dress since both Swift and Kelce wore his outfits for their engagement photos. The wedding occurred during the July 4 weekend, adding to the speculation given Ralph Lauren’s American image.
