Suspect Found Dead in Oregon Quintuple Homicide Case

Authorities in Oregon have identified the suspect in the killings of five people on a rural property. Benjamin Charles Parker, 36, was named by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office as the subject of their investigation.

Parker was discovered deceased inside his vehicle by Enumclaw Police Department officers on Sunday. Officials believe he died by suicide.

The incident occurred outside Forest Grove, in unincorporated Washington County. Detectives suspect these acts were deliberate. Sheriff Caprice Massey mentioned Parker’s familiarity with the victims during a Sunday briefing.

Investigators responded to a 911 call about a vehicle fire on Saturday morning. On arrival, they found five human bodies and numerous domestic animals.

Detective Shannon Wilde stated at a press conference that efforts to confirm the victims’ identities are ongoing. The complex scene included surrounding homes and vegetation.

According to Sheriff Massey, such a scene is unprecedented in her 22-year tenure. Officials assert that the public is no longer at risk.

Forest Grove sits about 25 miles west of Portland, Oregon, and 190 miles southwest of Enumclaw, Washington.
