Pat Clancy, the ex-husband of Lindsay Clancy, wishes to focus attention on their children amid the heated discussions surrounding the case. Lindsay Clancy, a former nurse, faces charges of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of their children—Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. She pleaded not guilty, claiming postpartum psychosis as a defense. Despite seven days of deliberation, a jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict, prompting Judge William Sullivan to declare a mistrial.

Patrick Clancy will appear on CBS News’ 60 Minutes in an interview scheduled to air on Sunday. On CBS Evening News, correspondent Ross Douthat shared insights into what viewers can expect from the broadcast.

“I think the biggest thing is just a portrait of Patrick’s life in the aftermath of this incredible tragedy and what it’s like to deal with that kind of grief—that kind of unimaginable experience as a father,” he said. “And then what it means to try and rebuild your life in the shadow of that experience and try and go forward from there.”

Douthat highlighted Patrick’s wish to keep his children’s memory central amidst the controversy. This comes in response to online accusations falsely implicating Patrick in their deaths despite Lindsay’s admission and no evidence linking him to the events.

On September 9, Patrick’s attorney, Howard Cooper, stated that Patrick and his family have endured a damaging defamation campaign, fueled by minor celebrities and conspiracy theorists. Cooper emphasized the need for the spread of falsehoods to stop, warning those responsible of potential legal consequences. Law enforcement has been notified.

Patrick Clancy’s New Wife Speaks Out

Dr. Rachel Danis, Patrick’s new wife, defended him in a preview clip from 60 Minutes. She expressed disbelief over how the story evolved but emphasized Patrick’s character as a devoted father and supportive partner. The couple married in April, over three years after the events and following Patrick’s divorce from Lindsay.
