Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Prison Release Date Altered Again

1 hour ago 0

Sean “Diddy” Combs, 56, now has a new federal prison release date. He is expected to be released on February 20, 2028. This change comes nearly a month after his previously scheduled release. The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed the new date.

Diddy’s release date has changed several times since his imprisonment began. Reports indicate he was placed in solitary confinement after a fight with another inmate last month. The Bureau adjusted his release date following an incident at the FCI Fort Dix prison. Currently, it is unclear if the fight directly caused the delay.

For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not release information regarding the conditions of confinement for any inmate.

According to ABC News, a comment from another inmate triggered the altercation with Diddy. Afterward, he was sent to solitary confinement. A representative from the Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to elaborate on Diddy’s confinement conditions.

Diddy did not testify in his trial related to sex crimes.
His legal issues began in September 2024 when he was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges. This followed months of sexual misconduct allegations and lawsuits. Surveillance video reportedly showed him assaulting then-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel.

In July 2025, a jury convicted Diddy on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. However, he was acquitted of more severe charges like racketeering and sex trafficking. By October, he received a sentence exceeding four years in prison. His sentence also includes five years of supervised release and a $500,000 fine.

Cassie testified for four days during Diddy’s trial last summer. The two had a relationship that started in 2006 and ended in 2018. At the time of the trial, Cassie was pregnant with her third child. Prosecutors had recommended more than 11 years for Diddy’s sentencing.
