Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. have decided to sell their Los Angeles home. The couple has put their Brentwood property on the market for $10.5 million. They are working with Cindy Ambuehl from Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California to find a buyer.
Features of the Home
Built in 2006, the home offers 7,318 square feet of living space. It includes five bedrooms and six bathrooms. The main living areas comprise a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast nook, a dining room, and a living room designed for both indoor and outdoor living.
The home also features a dedicated office space and a bonus room used as a playroom for their children. Outside, there is a swimming pool with resort-style landscaping, an outdoor kitchen, and several lounge areas.
The Couple’s Background
Gellar and Prinze Jr. met on the set of the 1997 film “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” They began dating in 2000 and became engaged in April 2001. They married in 2002 and celebrated 23 years of marriage in September 2025.
Gellar shared her secret to a happy marriage, stating, “One bedroom, two bathrooms,” emphasizing the importance of having an additional bathroom available.
Gellar’s Career and Recent News
Gellar gained her first acting success at 16 on “All My Children” and later starred in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Cruel Intentions,” and “Scooby-Doo.” In 2014, after working on “The Crazy Ones,” she took a break from acting to focus on her family.
She returned to acting with the 2022 Netflix film “Do Revenge” and took roles in “Wolf Pack,” “Dexter: Original Sin,” and “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.”
Fans were excited about a planned reboot of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” titled “Buffy: New Sunnydale,” but Gellar announced in 2026 that Hulu had shelved the project due to issues with an executive unfamiliar with the original series.
