Randy White Endorses Ken Paxton in Texas Senate Race

Dallas Cowboys legend and Hall of Famer Randy White has endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the U.S. Senate race. White praised Paxton for his directness and willingness to prioritize what’s best for the people. He noted that Paxton doesn’t shy away from speaking the truth and isn’t concerned with popularity when making decisions.

White’s endorsement stems from his relationship with Paxton and their collaboration on projects addressing children’s issues and the opioid crisis. White shared his positive impression of Paxton’s character and actions.

“I got to know Ken as a person, and I think he is a super person,” White said. “I like his attitude, the things that he does, the way he does them.”

Paxton’s support for the National Child Identification Program, which helps parents maintain their children’s identifying information, was highlighted by White. Paxton has backed federal support for the program, and White is one of its Hall of Fame ambassadors.

White’s advocacy against opioid misuse is deeply personal due to his son-in-law’s accidental overdose. He joined Paxton in 2024 to spread awareness about fentanyl risks in a public service campaign.

White contrasted Paxton with rival candidate James Talarico, voicing distrust in Talarico. White expressed concerns over Talarico’s views on issues like transgender participation in sports.

“I know Ken Paxton,” White said. “I know he’s going to do what he says he’s going to do. I know he’s going to go to work every day, and he’s going to help the people of Texas.”

Talarico has shown differing opinions on transgender athletes, supporting localized decisions over statewide restrictions. White questioned Talarico’s consistency and commitment to his beliefs.

The Senate race has drawn tight competition, with Talarico narrowly leading Paxton in polls. Yet White confidently backs both Paxton and former President Donald Trump, lauding Trump’s economic policies and his approach to international conflicts.

White defended Trump’s strategies, including handling of the war with Iran, placing trust in Trump’s broader vision for America.
