President Trump’s Patriotic Address at Mount Rushmore

President Donald Trump gave a significant speech at Mount Rushmore on the eve of America’s 250th anniversary. He emphasized the United States as the “most exceptional nation ever to exist” and declared it would “never be a Communist country.” Speaking below the stone carvings of four past U.S. presidents — George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt — Trump highlighted American exceptionalism as the nation prepared to celebrate its 250th year.

“In all the chronicles of the ages, never before has any nation celebrated so magnificent a triumph as this one,” Trump told attendees. His speech was part of festivities across the country marking this milestone.

“At 250 years, America is the oldest republic on earth,” he continued. “We are the freest people on earth. We have the most righteous and enduring Constitution on earth. We are the strongest and most powerful country on earth. By the grace of God, the United States of America is the most successful, most accomplished, most exceptional nation in history.”

Trump praised American history, asserting that no other country had achieved so much. “The birth and survival of the American nation under God is the best event ever to happen on this planet by human hands,” he stated. “No other country has done more good for the world than the United States of America.”

Before his speech, the new Air Force One flew over Mount Rushmore as spectators cheered. Afterward, Trump stayed to watch the fireworks over the Black Hills.

Trump criticized a movement he described as growing communist efforts to undermine America’s “exceptional character” and “alienate us from our history.” He warned that this movement raised the question, “What does it mean to be an American?”

Trump called communism “the greatest threat” to the United States. “It is the greatest threat to our country, more so than World War One, World War Two, Pearl Harbor, or even 9/11,” he said. “We won’t let this happen because communism is the enemy of free people.” He continued, “Communism is the opposite of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness — it is death, tyranny, and the pursuit of evil. But we will not let them win. They have no chance against us.”

Trump urged the audience: “You can be loyal to Karl Marx, or you can be loyal to America. You can be a communist, or you can be a patriot. You cannot be both.”

As Americans face these choices, Trump referenced past sacrifices as guidance for the future. “Our American ancestors did not shed their blood at Concord and Trenton, Gettysburg and Shiloh, Midway and Normandy, just for radicals to loot our nation,” he said.

Trump also spoke of the four presidents represented on Mount Rushmore. “They were men of action, ambition, daring, destiny, and intelligence,” he noted. “Above all, they were great men of history. Tonight, on the eve of our 250th year, we stand beneath their monument and rededicate ourselves to a nation as great as these giants.”

Trump is scheduled to deliver another speech on Saturday on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., before another fireworks display. “We know that this is not an ending,” he stated. “This is only the beginning of the golden age of America.”
