Among the top-searched slang terms is a sequence of numbers: 6-7. This term isn’t new to 2026; it gained attention last year. The term involves a hand gesture that mimics the act of weighing options and has no particular meaning. Instead, it’s used as nonsense, a trend favored by Gen Alpha.

Chud is another term gaining popularity. Originating from the 1984 film C.H.U.D. (Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers), this slang is used by kids to call someone a “loser.”

Rizz, a term derived from “charisma,” describes someone who is charming, stylish, or attractive.

Gooning has a PG meaning referring to someone getting completely absorbed in an activity. However, its origins may have X-rated connotations, so caution is advised when using it.

Cap, No cap are terms that distinguish truths from exaggerations. If something is label as “cap,” it’s considered a lie. “No cap” indicates sincerity.
