“It is not something that has been put to rest,” stated Nicole Parker, a former FBI special agent and Fox News contributor. She referred to the enigmatic case of Lynette Hooker, leaving many asking, “Where is she?” Six months have passed since the 55-year-old Michigan mother disappeared while on a sailing trip with her husband in the Bahamas.

Lynette vanished after reportedly going overboard from a dinghy in Hope Town, according to her husband, Brian. He explained they were returning to their sailboat ‘Soulmate’ after an evening out. Since April 4, she has not been seen or heard from, raising concerns and questions worldwide.

Brian Hooker was initially detained by Bahamian authorities for questioning but released without any charges. Recently, he was seen leaving a hotel in Freeport with his lawyer. Although the public may not witness it, Parker assures that efforts continue behind the scenes.

The U.S. Coast Guard Investigative Service remains actively involved, having seized ‘Soulmate’ in May. The investigators have also deployed divers and brought the Hookers’ dinghy to the U.S. for forensic analysis.

Key evidence has been sent to an FBI lab for further scrutiny. Parker noted, “They are trying to reconstruct a potential crime scene that occurred in the waters.” She admitted that while investigations can be slow, these procedures require time.

In July, Lynette’s mother, Darlene Hamlett, voiced her belief that Lynette returned to ‘Soulmate’ before vanishing. Although she refrained from providing details, she suspected foul play. Brian Hooker’s stepmother also expressed doubts about his accounts, hinting he might not have been truthful.

Parker emphasized, “Remember, there was no one else on the water with them,” underscoring the case’s complexity. Despite the limited public information, she maintained, “There work is ongoing behind the scenes.”

Investigators remain committed to uncovering answers for Lynette. Parker reiterated their dedication, emphasizing that bringing clarity is crucial.

Brian Hooker has been observed leading a low-profile existence in California, residing at his mother’s home. He has not commented on Lynette’s disappearance recently.

Fox News Digital reached out to Hooker’s attorney, while the FBI and Coast Guard have opted not to comment.
