Omos Continues His Wrestling Journey at TripleMania 34

Las Vegas – One of WWE’s giants, Omos, has been absent from its ring for two years, exploring different avenues and exerting his presence in other wrestling promotions. He initially joined Pro Wrestling Noah in Japan before making a name for himself at AAA’s Triplemania 33 last year, claiming victory in the Bardahl Cup and solidifying his reputation in Mexico.

During SmackDown at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on April 5, 2024, Omos shared insights with OutKick Dropkick prior to his scheduled match against Rey Mysterio at TripleMania 34 in Las Vegas. He expressed his readiness to embrace AAA following his stint in Japan.

“No, not at all. I think, me coming to AAA, I had a chance to go to Japan last year for Pro Wrestling Noah and I think that prepared me for AAA,” Omos stated. “Going out there, experiencing a new culture, speak little-to-no Japanese but being able to immerse myself in that wrestling culture, which is all the same boat. It’s also very unique in its own ways. It was a phenomenal experience so I think that helped me.”

Omos faced suspension from AAA recently due to an altercation involving Mysterio, the AAA general manager. Despite being a spectator earlier this month, Omos found himself back in action amidst the crowd.

Rey Mysterio, a WWE icon and legendary Luchador, entered the ring at Legacy Arena in Birmingham on September 7, 2026.

Despite their clashes, Omos is poised to reclaim his spot during Night 1 of Triplemania 34 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. He confidently stated his intentions.
