According to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council (NHDSC), Americans consume about 20 billion hot dogs annually, averaging 70 per person. During the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day, an estimated 7 billion hot dogs are consumed, enough to stretch from Washington, D.C. to Los Angeles more than five times.

From gas stations and convenience stores to traditional restaurants, various outlets offer deals on this popular summer food. 7-Eleven app users can purchase two roller grill items, including the Big Bite hot dog, for $3.50. Speedway and Stripes stores, owned by 7-Eleven, have similar offers for rewards members.
Circle K sells roller grill hot dogs for $1 via its app on the day. Cumberland Farms stores in New England are selling two hot dogs for $3 until July 20. Love’s app users can grab a free hot dog.
Sheetz, partnering with Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, offers a deal where customers can get two free hot dogs through the app when they purchase fuel. They are also promoting the “Big Glizzy,” a collaboration with Nathan’s and Pittsburgh Pirates star Paul Skenes. It features an extra-large Nathan’s Famous stadium-style hot dog.
Krystal Rewards members can enjoy a free Classic Pup, Corn Pup, or Chili Cheese Pup with a qualifying $5 purchase. Dogs Out aims to make hot dogs trendy again, with Matt D’Arcy and Keith Stedronsky spearheading a high-energy hot dog-eating competition tour for college fraternities, with a cash prize and championship belt for competitors.
