Nancy Pelosi Denies Knowledge of Biden’s Decline

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has denied any knowledge of former President Joe Biden’s reported decline, asserting that those aware of such information should have acted. In an interview with Politico’s Jonathan Martin, Pelosi emphasized, “I didn’t know, but I do think that those who did know should have acted upon that information.” She mentioned conflicting claims between Biden’s staff and family, with each suggesting the other knew but did not act.

Despite their ongoing feud over the 2024 election, Pelosi stated in March that she had spoken with Biden. She reiterated that she did not request Biden to drop out of the 2024 race, saying, “I only said to President Biden, ‘I’ve come to question the polling that you have and how your campaign is being conducted.'” Pelosi recommended Biden consider additional polling insights, expressing that the public would appreciate seeing confirmation that he could effectively serve another term.

Regarding Biden’s response to her concerns, Pelosi mentioned, “He responded; we were prayerful. We had our rosaries and all that. We had a lovely meeting. It was only the two of us.” She added that Biden remarked on being tested daily in his role. Pelosi felt people wanted to see more substantial evidence of his capabilities.

Fox News political analyst Guy Benson responded to Pelosi’s latest statements, describing them as “non-credible gaslighting.” Benson accused Pelosi and other partisan figures of denying Biden’s obvious decline for political purposes and later acting surprised when reality set in.

During a July 2024 appearance on “Morning Joe,” Pelosi hinted that Biden had yet to finalize his decision to stay in the race, urging him to decide as time was running short.

Biden’s office has not commented on the situation following requests from Fox News Digital.
