LaMelo Ball’s Lifestyle and Car Collection Choices

LaMelo Ball, known for his impressive basketball skills, has also garnered attention for his extensive car collection. Recently, he decided to hire a personal driver to navigate his new surroundings with the Minnesota Timberwolves. This decision was highlighted by his older brother, Lonzo Ball, during a discussion on the Curious Mike podcast.

In a conversation with Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Porter Jr., Lonzo discussed the family’s spending habits. When asked who spends the most, Lonzo pointed to LaMelo, noting his younger brother’s penchant for extravagant purchases, including luxury cars.

LaMelo’s collection of ten cars is a testament to his success but also a concern for his family. The choice to employ a driver could reduce the time he spends driving, potentially lowering the risk of road incidents, though Lonzo clarified that despite “a lot of situations on the road,” LaMelo hasn’t been involved in accidents.

“He’ll buy a $1 million car and then just immediately damage it,” Lonzo shared, highlighting LaMelo’s tendency to acquire high-performance vehicles.

LaMelo’s move to Minnesota came after a trade from the Charlotte Hornets. His departure from the Hornets followed a notable career start, being selected third overall in the 2020 NBA Draft. The trade involved sending LaMelo and teammate Josh Green to the Timberwolves in exchange for Naz Reid and multiple draft picks.

Lonzo, who has experienced several transitions in his NBA career, was picked second overall in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Lakers. His career has been interrupted by injuries, limiting his game appearances and impacting his performance.

Reflecting on his injuries, Lonzo acknowledged the setbacks in his career. “I came to terms with that when I got hurt the first time,” Lonzo expressed about adjusting his expectations after repeated injuries.

Despite these challenges, both brothers continue to maintain their presence in the NBA and beyond, while adjusting to changes and new experiences.
