Kamala Harris Addresses Midterm Election Concerns and Political Strategy

Former Vice President Kamala Harris expressed concerns over Republican actions during an interview, labeling them as attempts to ‘cheat’ in the upcoming midterm elections. She stated her focus on ensuring Democrats win these elections. ‘Midterms are occupying my thoughts, mind, and work,’ Harris said. She emphasized the importance of winning the midterms to stop alleged obstructions to voting rights.

Harris discussed these matters on the podcast ‘What Are You Like?’ hosted by former women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe. The objective, according to Harris, is to restore balance in government by regaining control of Congress, the House, and the Senate.

‘I don’t know how to live and not serve. It’s something I’ve come to terms with,’ Harris said, indicating her commitment to public service and affecting change.

During the discussion, RNC election integrity Communications Director Ally Triolo responded to Harris’s comments, affirming the need for voter ID and citizenship proof as common-sense measures.

Rapinoe asked Harris about her future political plans, specifically regarding a potential 2028 presidential run. Harris remained non-committal but underscored the significance of the upcoming 2026 elections. She supported Democrats who might prefer her not participating directly in their campaigns, emphasizing the need to win by any means necessary.

‘We need to put a check on this lawless administration and focus on delivering what Americans need and deserve, such as lower costs and affordable healthcare,’ Harris added during an interview with MS NOW’s Peter Alexander.

The podcast also covered Rapinoe’s experience in women’s sports, reflecting on progress and regression in terms of rights and equality. She pointed out that despite historic achievements, challenges persist in gaining equality for female athletes.
