Justin Tucker participated in a workout with the New York Jets on Wednesday. Last year, Tucker was unsigned following a 10-game suspension for breaching the NFL’s personal conduct policy. In January 2025, reports from The Baltimore Banner revealed accusations from 16 female massage therapists against Tucker. They alleged sexual misconduct and inappropriate actions during sessions between 2012 and 2016 in Baltimore and nearby areas. Subsequently, the Baltimore Ravens released Tucker in May 2025 after a 13-season tenure.
In response to the allegations, Tucker, his wife Amanda, and their legal team, led by Joe Terry of Williams & Connolly, disputed the claims, speaking to OutKick. They presented evidence questioning the accusations, including an email from one accuser who expressed pleasure in working with Tucker when he ended his spa membership in 2016. However, such information alone doesn’t confirm Tucker’s innocence. Tucker has not faced criminal charges or civil suits related to these accusations.
The comparison has been drawn between Tucker’s case and Deshaun Watson’s allegations, where Watson faced accusations from over two dozen massage therapists and settled 23 civil lawsuits. The Cleveland Browns offered Watson a multiyear, fully guaranteed contract worth $230 million despite his legal issues.
Conversely, the Ravens released Tucker after the allegations surfaced. Considering Tucker’s age and his declining performance, his position in the NFL remains uncertain. Tucker, turning 37 in November, recorded the lowest field-goal success rate of his career in 2024 at 73.3%.
NFL teams often weigh a player’s issues, even if unproven, against their on-field performance. So far, no team has found Tucker’s talent outweighs his baggage. Despite being a top performer previously, he was not signed after tryouts with teams like the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts.
