Justice Department to Deploy Record Number of Poll Monitors

1 hour ago 0

A top assistant attorney general revealed that the Justice Department plans to send approximately 1,000 monitors to polling locations this fall. This is likely the largest deployment under a Republican president.

The department routinely deploys these monitors to ensure compliance with election laws and safeguard voters’ rights.

The presence of monitors helps maintain the integrity of the electoral process and ensures that all eligible voters can cast their ballots without interference or intimidation.

On August 4, monitors were observed leaving the Don Johnson Fieldhouse polling site in Lansing, Michigan. Their role is crucial in areas with histories of voting rights violations and in tightly contested regions.
