2 weeks ago 0

Joan Collins, a renowned actress at 93, continues to lead an active life and stars in a new film, “My Duchess.” She shared her thoughts on aging with elegance at Variety’s Women of Power event. “I love life,” she mentioned. Her daily routine includes breathing fresh air, getting a good night’s rest, hydration, and self-care.

Collins, known from “Dynasty,” finds inspiration in classic films to boost her confidence. She enjoys watching older movies, particularly those from the ‘80s and ‘90s. Her fitness regime includes working out with a trainer twice a week, focusing on basic Pilates exercises without relying on machines.

While she admits that walking around isn’t her favorite activity, Collins still manages to stay active around her home. She attributes her good health partly to favorable genetics, noting that her father lived to 87, which was exceptional for his time. Her mother also ensured she and her sister received ample supplements during their upbringing.

“It is never too late to find love,” Collins says about her marriage with Percy Gibson, who is 32 years her junior.

Collins and Gibson, married in 2002, started as friends working on a play. Their friendship evolved into a lasting relationship characterized by mutual understanding and shared interests. Collins describes her husband as kind and grounded, attributes that enhance their partnership. The age gap between them is deemed insignificant, as she emphasizes the importance of shared experiences and companionship.

In her memoir, “Behind the Shoulder Pads: Tales I Tell My Friends,” Collins highlights her enthusiasm for life, fueled by a dynamic nature even from childhood. She reflects on life as a fleeting gift, encouraging people to cherish every moment.
