On Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 2:11 PM EDT, the Jackson Police Department held a news briefing regarding the case. Chief RaShall Brackney provided details of the crime, which involved the deaths of two young women and a toddler.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 10:10 PM following a report of an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, they discovered the victims had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Chief Brackney described the situation as a triple homicide.

Victims and Investigation

The identities of the victims remain undisclosed as authorities work to notify their families. They are two women in their 20s and a toddler. Police have urged the public to assist with any information.

“We have three — a triple homicide here, two young women in their 20s and a toddler,” said Chief Brackney.

The department is searching for a suspect linked to the crime. The individual is believed to be driving a red 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage with license plate HSI 205.
