Iraq Seeks U.S. Military Exit

The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, announced plans to initiate a dialogue aimed at the withdrawal of U.S. military forces. This decision follows the death of an Iraqi militia leader, Mushtaq Taleb al-Saidi, killed by an American strike in Baghdad.

The agreement which allows American troops in Iraq aims at maintaining equal sovereignty between the two nations. This sovereignty was breached by the recent U.S. strike.
