An unspecified Saudi source relayed to Fox News Digital that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had urged Donald Trump to respond militarily to the Houthi advancement.

The U.S. currently does not plan to engage directly but has offered support to Saudi Arabia in terms of intelligence and targeting. Adm. Brad Cooper of the U.S. Central Command traveled to Saudi Arabia for discussions about this coordination. The White House did not comment on whether further U.S. military measures are being considered.

A Saudi official mentioned that the kingdom is committed to aiding Yemen’s internationally recognized government and ensuring regional stability.
