Darline Graham Nordone officially took office as the interim U.S. senator for South Carolina, following the unexpected passing of her brother, Lindsey Graham. Her appointment marks her as the first female senator from the state and the first sister of a lawmaker appointed to the Senate.
Sean Hannity from Fox News Channel plans to conduct an exclusive interview with Sen. Darline Graham on an upcoming edition of “Hannity.” This appearance will be her first public discussion since her brother’s death and her subsequent appointment. The conversation is expected to cover Lindsey Graham’s legacy, and her intentions to continue his work in public service. She will also talk about her family values and her commitment to representing South Carolina.
South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster officially appointed Darline Graham to complete the remaining term of her brother. This decision followed discussions and recommendations, including a suggestion from former President Donald Trump. Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina also engaged with her and supported her publicly during a joint appearance in Columbia, South Carolina. McMaster described the appointment as a tribute to Lindsey Graham’s care for his sister.
“Lindsey took care of his little sister in years long departed. It’s my honor to ask his little sister, Darline Graham, to finish his work for him now,” Governor McMaster stated.
Lindsey Graham passed away on July 11 at the age of 71, in Washington, D.C., after a visit to Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The meeting focused on discussing additional sanctions against Russia. Preliminary findings from the District of Columbia’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner listed an aortic dissection due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease as the cause of death, although further testing is still pending.
Sean Hannity has previously interviewed a wide range of influential figures, from global leaders to celebrities. The upcoming interview with Darline Graham is one anticipated by many as she steps into her role during this crucial time.
