Cavallari’s Controversial Divorce Claim

Kristin Cavallari made headlines with her claim on the “Aspire with Emma Grede” podcast that she received no financial settlement from her divorce with Jay Cutler in 2022. Cavallari states that she gained confidence from the success of her company, Uncommon James, which significantly affected the financial dynamics of the separation. Despite sharing three children, Cavallari says she didn’t take anything from Cutler’s NFL earnings and had to compensate him with assets and property value equivalent to her company.

“I had to give him half the value of Uncommon James in cash and properties and everything else,” Cavallari revealed.

Cutler’s Rebuttal

Jay Cutler has publicly countered Cavallari’s claim. In the “Take it Outside” podcast, Cutler explained the legal improbability of such an outcome, particularly within Tennessee’s judicial system. He argued that legal standards would have mandated a more balanced financial resolution.

“In Tennessee, there isn’t a judge that would have approved such an arrangement,” Cutler stated.

Cutler’s NFL career earnings amounted to $127 million, divided over 12 years and including a substantial contract extension with the Bears. He expressed frustration over the allegations, labeling them as false and potentially defamatory.

“It is reckless to suggest that no money was divided during the divorce,” Cutler indicated. “I can assure you it wasn’t zero dollars.”

Cavallari’s assertion has become a point of contention, leaving both fans and legal observers skeptical about the divorce settlement details.
