Buffalo Bills Triumph Over Detroit Lions But Face Injury Setback

The Buffalo Bills continued their impressive performance in Week 2, defeating the Detroit Lions 41-31 on “Thursday Night Football.” Despite the victory, the team faces a potential setback with wide receiver DJ Moore being ruled out due to a shoulder injury.

DJ Moore, attempting a touchdown catch in the second quarter, sustained the injury, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. He was unable to register any receptions during the game, recording only a single rushing attempt for a loss of one yard.

Moore made a strong start with the Bills in Week 1, achieving five receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown in the team’s 36-21 victory over the Houston Texans. The Bills had traded a second-round pick to the Chicago Bears, along with a fifth-round pick, to acquire Moore during the offseason.

After the Bills’ win, head coach Joe Brady appreciated Moore’s contributions, commenting on his ability to make significant plays. Brady expressed pride in Moore’s performance, highlighting his impact on the team’s dynamic offense.

“Yeah, I mean, you see there’s a reason we brought him here and the ability that he can make plays down the field,” Brady noted. “And look, we had a PI that’s not even going to show up in the stat book, right? But that’s another added bonus, right? You saw the different types of weapons that we had, with DJ having a big game, Dalton (Kincaid) had a big game.”

With Moore sidelined, quarterback Josh Allen relied on Dalton Kincaid, who led the team with seven receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown. Keon Coleman contributed with six receptions for 63 yards, while Joshua Palmer caught a 43-yard touchdown pass.
