The Buffalo Bills announced the tragic death of Ed Oliver’s 2-year-old son. This announcement was made public on Saturday, with the team expressing deep sorrow for Oliver and his family.
“On behalf of the entire Buffalo Bills organization, we want to publicly express our condolences to Ed Oliver and his family on the devastating loss of his son. It’s an unthinkable tragedy for any parent. We will continue to support Ed and his family as we all grieve this tragic loss,” said Brandon Beane, the team’s general manager.
Officials have not revealed the cause of death. However, in late June, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Houston responded to a report of a toddler drowning. The incident occurred at an address linked to Oliver, as shown in property records.
Authorities reported that deputies received a distress call regarding a toddler found unresponsive in a swimming pool on Lago Trace Drive. The child was taken to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead. The Sheriff’s Office identified the location but not the victim, maintaining discretion.
Ed Oliver, currently 28, is a native of Houston. He played college football with the Houston Cougars and is now entering his eighth season with the Buffalo Bills.
