As the Big 12 Media Days concluded, Texas Tech and BYU have emerged as clear frontrunners for the 2026 conference title. The general consensus among media members suggests a strong competition between these two teams.

Texas Tech, led by head coach Joey McGuire, has faced its share of offseason challenges, most notably the Brendan Sorsby gambling incident. Despite this, the team boasts an impressive roster, widely recognized as the strongest in the conference. Last year, Texas Tech claimed the Big 12 title, underlining their potential to dominate again this season.
