Barry Manilow recently postponed his show in Kentucky, announcing it just 45 minutes before the scheduled start. The 82-year-old artist cited ‘unforeseen circumstances’ but did not provide additional details.

Manilow, who was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer last year, faced mixed reactions from fans. While some criticized the late notice, others offered support and well wishes for his health.

Sending hugs x take care and remember you must come first.

Last December, he shared his diagnosis after doctors identified a cancerous spot on his lung, following weeks of bronchitis treatment. The early detection of the cancerous spot prompted a positive outlook from Manilow, as he expressed relief over the early discovery and the immediate medical attention he was receiving.

Following his diagnosis, he underwent surgery to remove the spot and later mentioned no need for chemotherapy or radiation. Despite his progress, Manilow faced more cancellations in February and March after discussing with his surgeon that his lungs were not ready for extensive performances.

In May, Manilow announced further cancellations for his Las Vegas residency, yet he shared optimistic updates. His doctor stated that he was improving and should be ready for his June shows in the UK.

Fans are hopeful as Manilow’s health appears to be on the mend, with plans to resume performances both in the UK and back in Las Vegas later in the year.
