Amazing Red’s Triumph at Bound for Glory

16 minutes ago 0

The X Division Championship scramble match proved to be nothing short of spectacular. Initially announced as a battle among six competitors, it featured BDE, KC Navarro, Ryan Nemeth, Fabian Aichner, Rich Swann, and Cedric Alexander. The championship was up for grabs after Leon Slater relinquished it to pursue the TNA World Championship.

The event witnessed an unexpected twist when Amazing Red, set to be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame alongside Konnan and ODB, announced his participation in the match during his speech. The six-man contest evolved into a chaotic seven-man showdown, displaying intense action throughout the ring.

Rich Swann and BDE initially maintained their composure, leveraging their tag team coordination to keep Amazing Red subdued. Their efforts hinted that they might seize the victory. Meanwhile, KC Navarro aimed for success, executing notable moves like the 305 and Blessing in Disguise on Aichner. His near-pinfall was disrupted when Nemeth intervened, pulling the referee from the ring, leading Navarro to retaliate against him outside.

Navigating back into the fray, Navarro confronted his idol, Amazing Red, within the ring. The seasoned wrestler took advantage of the situation, delivering a Spanish Fly followed by the Code Red. Amazing Red then pinned Navarro to claim the X Division Championship once more.

This victory marked the fourth time Amazing Red has captured the title, ending a long hiatus since his last reign in September 2010. During that period, he briefly held the championship after winning it at a live event but lost it shortly thereafter to Jay Lethal.

Currently, Amazing Red’s achievement stands as the eighth-best record in the championship’s history. Other notable wrestlers with more title reigns include Chris Sabin, Austin Aries, Jay Lethal, A.J. Styles, Samoa Joe, Low Ki, and Frankie Kazarian.
