Pete Crow-Armstrong’s Stellar Performance

Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong delivered a memorable performance at Busch Stadium on Saturday night. The Cubs played against the St. Louis Cardinals, leading 3-1 in the eighth inning when Crow-Armstrong made his mark.

The Home Run Incident

As the Cubs’ star stepped up to bat, facing a 1-0 count from St. Louis pitcher Gordon Graceffo, he seized the moment. Graceffo’s fastball over the plate met Crow-Armstrong’s bat, resulting in his seventh home run of the season. The ball soared into a section of shirtless fans, known as the ‘Tarps Off Crew.’

A fan caught the home run ball but failed to return it to the field, instead hitting a nearby spectator.

Overall Dominance

Throughout the game, Crow-Armstrong exhibited dominance at the plate, achieving a 4-for-5 performance. His output included a double in addition to his home run. This marked his first multi-hit game since May 8.

The Cubs secured a 6-1 victory over the Cardinals on Saturday, setting up an upcoming match in the series on Sunday.
