Foul Ball Incident at T-Mobile Park
Attending a Major League Baseball game requires constant attention. A fan, Jamie Golla, learned this the hard way at the Mariners game against the San Diego Padres.
Golla was seated in the lower bowl on the third-base side at Seattle’s T-Mobile Park. While capturing a selfie video, she was hit on the head by a foul ball from San Diego’s Sung-mun Song in the fifth inning.
Impact of the Incident
The foul ball caused significant pain for Golla. The video captured the moment of impact and the unsettling sound of the ball hitting her head.
Golla was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. She reported feeling better, despite some swelling and minor headaches.
“I appreciate the people who have been checking up on me,” Golla told The Post.
The Mariners staff contacted Golla, offering future game tickets. The game ended with the Padres winning 2-0.
Fans are reminded to stay alert at ballgames to avoid such incidents.
