1 month ago 0

Maitland Ward, known for her roles in “The Bold and the Beautiful” and ’90s Disney TV series “Boy Meets World,” recently spoke about her tense relationship with former co-stars Danielle Fishel, Ryder Strong, and Will Friedle. The conflict began over a year ago during an appearance on the “Pod Meets World” podcast. Ward shared her feelings in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital.

Ward has had no contact with her former colleagues since the disagreement. She expressed feelings of betrayal but emphasized there has been no animosity or ongoing disputes between them. “We have not spoken at all,” she said, stressing the absence of communication but also the lack of hostility.

Ward stated, “I do think I was set up for reasons that only they can explain.”

The podcast episode escalated when Fishel inquired if Ward hated them. Ward clarified she held no hatred but felt they perceived her negatively. Fishel admitted difficulties on the “Girl Meets World” set, discussing feelings of exclusion and criticism. This confession shed light on tension that was possibly misunderstood during the podcast.

Ward accused Fishel of seeking publicity through their interaction, whereas Fishel suggested Ward’s podcast appearance aimed to attract attention. This disagreement became a focal point in the fallout.

Ward recounted feeling overwhelmed by the situation, likening it to a high school scenario where past grievances resurfaced. “I felt bullied,” Ward shared, noting the dynamic felt isolating with three former friends against her.

Despite not maintaining contact, Ward showed support for Fishel during her “Dancing with the Stars” journey. She expressed genuine encouragement for Fishel’s endeavors.

Reflecting on the year, Ward described it as “strange” due to the conflict but maintained she harbors no ill intentions. “It’s sad that we are not able to come together as friends,” Ward explained, underscoring a familial connection that persists despite challenges.

Ward’s narrative merges sentiments of disappointment with continued support for her co-stars. She highlighted the enduring bond forged during their time on “Boy Meets World,” comparing it to family ties that withstand disputes.
