He linked the mission of the Coast Guard to his own domestic and international priorities, including those related to Iran. The address took place at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy commencement ceremony in New London, Connecticut.
The president stressed that the officers would be instrumental in defending the homeland and contributing to what he termed America’s “national resurgence.”
