2 hours ago 0

Drew McIntyre has established a formidable presence in WWE. He is a four-time world champion, a two-time tag team champion, and a past intercontinental champion. McIntyre’s accolades extend to winning the Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank. With his commanding appearance, McIntyre fits the on-screen persona seamlessly. Recently, his ventures have expanded beyond wrestling.

During SmackDown at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on March 27, 2026, McIntyre’s focus was prominent. The 2024 film ‘The Killer’s Game’ featured him, and now he is poised to join ‘The Last Druid’ alongside Russell Crowe and Dave Bautista, as well as the ‘Highlander’ reboot. Additionally, McIntyre is involved in a micro-drama series with Chase Mattson and other WWE personalities.

In the series, McIntyre portrays a secret agent working to protect a young girl from an arms dealer. ‘Agent of Shadows’ is unique as it will debut on ReelShort, a platform for short-form content suitable for the social media era. McIntyre embraced this project for its mix of action, comedy, and heart.

I had a look at it, it was a lot of fun, a lot of chance to show some range, and I went, heck yeah, I wanna be part of this thing, McIntyre stated.

Chase Mattson, also starring in the series, was attracted by the script’s action and humor, which aligned with his martial arts background. Mattson admitted to being unaware of McIntyre before their collaboration. Initially intimidated by McIntyre’s stature, he found him remarkably kind.

The series includes appearances by WWE stars such as Royce Keys, Joe Hendry, Jacob Fatu, and others. The involvement of WWE personalities signifies the brand’s expansion beyond wrestling, integrating it into broader entertainment.

Not one thing is an understatement, or understatement of the year these days, McIntyre commented on the WWE’s evolution.

McIntyre noted how WWE’s influence has grown globally, emphasizing its presence in 180 countries, media, and various platforms. ‘Agent of Shadows’ will showcase WWE superstars in new roles, highlighting their acting talents along with their wrestling capabilities.

‘Agent of Shadows’ premieres on ReelShort on Oct. 23. WWE continues to blur the lines between entertainment and sports, offering audiences diverse content.
