Nicole Scherzinger is known for her glamorous performances as part of the Pussycat Dolls. Recently, she offered a glimpse into the less glamorous side of touring through a new Instagram post.
The singer, aged 48, frequently uses social media to share moments with her fans. Her latest post included a well-styled backstage selfie featuring her long dark hair in waves, stunning makeup, and her toned abs on display in a black sports bra and gray sweatpants.
In contrast, the next image revealed the reality behind the performance. Scherzinger shared a close-up of her injured leg, displaying red marks and healing burns around her knee and down her leg. The post was captioned with a simple commentary, ‘What they see vs. what they don’t see…’
The injury occurred during the Pussycat Dolls’ performance on September 26 in Düsseldorf, Germany. She suffered burns when boiling water accidentally spilled on her leg, just an hour before going on stage. Despite this setback, Scherzinger continued with the performance, highlighting her resilience and dedication through an Instagram story and stating, ‘Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set…But the show must go on.’
Her photos have received praise from followers for the determination she showed by performing despite his injuries. The comments section flooded with supporters acknowledging Scherzinger’s spirit and describing her as a ‘warrior.’ Singer Gloria Gaynor also commended her, calling her a ‘warrior’ in encouragement.
Scherzinger remains a vocal part of the ‘PCD Forever’ tour alongside Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt. The trio has been performing throughout Europe and the UK. Despite her injuries, Scherzinger performed at Dublin’s 3Arena on October 5, continuing to entertain audiences.
However, this tour has faced some challenges with only a portion of the original lineup participating. While Scherzinger, Roberts, and Wyatt are part of the current performances, Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar, and Melody Thornton are not involved. Sutta openly addressed her exclusion from the reunion in an exclusive video published by The Sun. In her statements, Sutta expressed her initial disappointment at not being a part of the current tour but praised the performances of Scherzinger, Roberts, and Wyatt.
Sutta remains focused on her solo career, with her new single, ‘Don’t Take Much,’ scheduled for release on October 7.
