Riley Green’s Successful Elk Hunt in Utah

2 hours ago 0

Country music star Riley Green recently swapped the stage for the scenic mountains of Utah. He achieved a significant feat by taking down a large bull elk using a compound bow. This successful hunt has ensured his freezer is stocked with elk meat for a while.

Green expressed his gratitude on Instagram, stating, “Freezer is full. Not many things challenge you like bow hunting elk… thankful for a few days to chase em in the Utah mountains and that I was able to put it all together on an awesome bull.” The photos shared depict the massive bull with an impressive rack, showcasing the challenging task of transporting the meat from the mountains.

For those familiar with Green beyond his music career, this accomplishment aligns perfectly with his passion. He is a dedicated bowhunter and often appears as a guest host on “Major League Bowhunter.” The show has previously featured him enduring a Montana elk hunt titled “3rd Times A Charm.” Green has also discussed the complexities of fitting archery elk hunting into his touring schedule due to the limited season.

On a past appearance on “Bussin’ With The Boys,” Green recounted drawing elk tags in successive years but having scarce time to hunt. The dedication and skill required, especially as bowhunting demands close proximity to the elk, makes his success even more impressive.

It’s worth noting that Green isn’t alone among country stars in having a prosperous elk hunting season. Fellow musician Luke Combs recently acquired an elk of his own in Utah. Initially aiming for a bowhunt, Combs ultimately opted for a rifle, which also contributed to his recent 30-pound weight loss. Despite different methods, both artists found success while enjoying the outdoors.
