Kelly Clarkson has announced the conclusion of her beloved daytime talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” after hosting it for seven successful seasons. The announcement was made through an Instagram post on February 2, where the 43-year-old singer reflected on her journey and expressed her gratitude towards everyone involved in the show.

In her heartfelt message, Clarkson conveyed how “fortunate” she feels to have worked with an incredible team both in Los Angeles and New York. “These seven seasons were filled with countless amazing moments and episodes,” she shared. She also emphasized how “grateful and honored” she has been to collaborate with an exceptional band and crew, and to meet and interact with talented and inspiring guests.

Kelly Clarkson’s decision to step down from the show was not taken lightly. She expressed deep appreciation to the fans for their unwavering support and to NBC for being a wonderful partner throughout the years. She acknowledged, “This was not an easy decision, but this season will mark my last as the host of ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show.'”

The reason behind her decision resonates with her desire to spend more time with her children. Clarkson shares two children, River Rose, 11, and Remington, 9, with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, whom she was married to from October 2013 until June 2020. She emphasized that stepping away from the daily show will allow her to prioritize her family, stating, “It feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”

Though she’s saying farewell to the talk show, Clarkson assured her fans that “this isn’t a goodbye.” She promised to remain active in the music world, occasionally performing concerts, and hinted at possible appearances on “The Voice.”

Her fans and fellow celebrities showed an outpouring of support in the comments, with sentiments such as “Do what’s best for you and your family, and we will always support you,” alongside expressions of admiration from famous personalities like Carnie Wilson and Olivia Munn.

Over the course of its run, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” achieved significant acclaim, winning 24 Daytime Emmy Awards, including categories such as Best Daytime Talk Series and Best Talk Show Host, further solidifying its impact on daytime television.

Though Clarkson is moving on from this particular venture, her impact and influence will surely continue to resonate both in the entertainment industry and with her loyal audience.
