Tribute to AEW Star Pac: Remembering Benjamin Satterley

Benjamin Satterley, also known as Pac in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Neville in WWE, received a tribute from fellow wrestler Penta during “Monday Night Raw.” Penta showed his respect by wearing the name “Pac” on his left boot while participating in a tag team match against Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. This gesture coincided with news of Satterley’s unexpected death at the age of 40, announced by AEW on Sunday night.

Before the live event, WWE displayed a tribute graphic for Satterley. Throughout his career, Satterley and Penta competed against each other in AEW and at least once in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).

AEW released a statement expressing their sadness over Satterley’s passing: “A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004, performing for organizations globally. His innovative high-flying moves and exceptional in-ring skill captivated fans worldwide.” Penta’s tribute took place during “Monday Night Raw” held at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Following the announcement of Satterley’s death, an inquiry revealed no signs of foul play. Authorities stated that the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office would determine the cause of death. Satterley was discovered unresponsive outside a CAVA restaurant around 4 p.m. local time, according to reports mentioning 911 audio. Emergency response to the scene found him deceased.

Satterley’s signing with AEW in 2019 marked a notable point in his career. He became a two-time trios champion and also held the title of the inaugural all-Atlantic champion. His time in WWE between 2012 and 2018 saw him as a two-time cruiserweight champion, an NXT champion, and a two-time NXT tag team champion.

Fans and colleagues continue to remember Satterley for his contributions to wrestling. As both Pac and Neville, he achieved acclaim in AEW and WWE, cementing his legacy through memorable matches and championships.
