In the locker room, Jacas reflected on the encounter. “It was pretty funny to have that interaction with him,” Jacas stated to NBC Sports Boston. He went up to Rodgers after the game, appreciating the veteran’s cool demeanor.

Jacas’s performance warranted the commendation. He ended the match with an interception and applied pressure on the legendary quarterback three times. One of these pressures led to a lighthearted moment between the two on the field, while the interception marked the first of Jacas’s career.

“It was just surreal because I never had a pick before in my career,” Jacas recounted. Getting his first interception against Aaron Rodgers was an unforgettable milestone for the rookie.

Throughout the opening weeks of his NFL career, Jacas has demonstrated impressive progress. In the team’s season opener against Seattle, he recorded his first career sack, followed by his initial interception against the Steelers. Despite his contract issues, Jacas has gained respect through hard work, arriving at 6:45 a.m. daily to practice striking techniques and pass-rush moves with head coach Mike Vrabel before team meetings commence at 8 a.m. This dedication is paying dividends.

With injuries impacting the Patriots’ lineup, including the shoulder injury to Dre’Mont Jones and the absence of Harold Landry III, Jacas’s role is increasingly pivotal. He, sophomore Elijah Ponder, and fellow rookie Quintayvious Hutchins are currently the only available edge defenders on the active roster, intensifying the need for Jacas to continue his upward trajectory.
