Riot Fest Adjusts Schedule Amid Weather Concerns

Riot Fest decided to conclude activities early on Saturday in anticipation of approaching storms. The announcement was made at approximately 3:30 p.m., stating, “In cooperation with our partners from the City of Chicago and out of abundance of caution for the safety of our fans, bands, and staff, Riot Fest will be ending early tonight due to inclement weather. For updated schedule and any further changes, please check Riot Fest socials and riotfest.org. Please be safe and watch for more updates.”

As of now, the schedule for Sunday remains unchanged. However, the dissemination of news proved challenging for attendees already at the venue, as cell service was unreliable. To adapt to the new timeline, some performances were reduced to brief 20-minute sets. One notable change was the cancellation of Afroman’s much-anticipated performance. Riot Fest aimed to wrap up around 7 p.m., with Tool performing as the headliner at 6 p.m.
