The upcoming Chicago mayoral election is set for February 23, 2027. At present, ten candidates have publicly entered the race, though more may announce their candidacies in the coming months. If no candidate secures more than 50% of the vote on February 23, a runoff between the top two contenders will occur on April 6, 2027. The new mayor will be inaugurated in May.
