Celine Dion Returns to Stage with Paris Residency

Celine Dion performed at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre, near Paris, marking her return to the stage after nearly four years. The event took place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, as part of her ‘Celine Dion Paris 2026’ residency.

Dion opened her 16-show residency with the song “On Ne Change Pas,” which translates to “we don’t change” in English. After the performance, she became emotional and told the audience, “I had promised myself not to cry. Thank you so much for coming. If it’s your first time in Paris, I hope you fall in love with it. Finally, it’s amazing we are all together. I promised to come back, to be back on stage. So here I am, singing for you and singing for me, singing live!”

Videos shared online showed Dion in a black dress and her hair styled in a bun. She performed hits like “Because You Loved Me” and “Power of Love.” She also sang “My Heart Will Go On,” the renowned track from “The Titanic” soundtrack.

A few hours before the concert began, Dion shared a photo on her Instagram Story. She stood in front of fans with her hands in the air, captioned “En route!”

A Quebec native from Canada’s French-speaking province, Dion is cherished in France. Her concerts are sold out, with expectations of generating millions of dollars for the region.

In 2022, Dion disclosed her diagnosis with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological condition causing stiff limbs and severe muscle spasms. She mentioned this condition affected her daily life, “sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.”

Her previous concert tour was interrupted in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Dion last performed in July 2024 during the Paris Olympics opening ceremony.
