DK Metcalf and his teammate Aaron Rodgers share a unique connection both on and off the field. The Pittsburgh Steelers duo seems to find common ground in discussing conspiracy theories. During a recent interview with The Athletic, Metcalf revealed his belief in an underground civilization inside the Earth. He suggests the inability to book trips to Antarctica as evidence supporting this idea.

The Icon Sportswire captured Metcalf walking off the field after a game against the Baltimore Ravens, highlighting his growing interest in these theories. While some are more drawn to aliens or Bigfoot, Metcalf focuses on the Hollow Earth theory.

Experts may contest the credibility of this theory, but Metcalf seems intrigued. Speaking with a smile, Metcalf credited his quarterback, saying, “Yeah, I’m a big conspiracy theorist. Shout out to my quarterback. I think it’s another world. I think there is another civilization inside of Earth.”

How does one gain access to this alleged civilization? Metcalf believes Antarctica holds the key, pointing out the difficulty in booking trips there. He stated, “You can go to Alaska. You could go to the North Pole. But why not Antarctica? Why can’t you just book a trip to Antarctica?”

The Athletic noted that while tourism in Antarctica is possible from November to March, it mainly occurs via ships, as commercial airports are absent. The flights are non-commercial and managed by governments.

Metcalf further questioned, “Why is there a meeting between every world leader of every country in Antarctica, specifically?” Although there is no verifiable evidence of such gatherings, The Athletic acknowledged that the continent does receive distinguished visitors occasionally.

Despite speculations, this interest in conspiracy theories isn’t a result of Rodgers’ influence. Metcalf clarified, “Nah, I’ve been on it,” while emphasizing their shared enthusiasm. “It just so happened that we can bond over it.”

Breaking a Hollow Earth theory bond seems unlikely, even for NFL defenses. For now, the intriguing ideas fuel discussion and curiosity. Further exploration of the Hollow Earth theory might be necessary to fully understand Metcalf’s perspective.
