Kelani Jordan’s Rise in WWE NXT
Kelani Jordan has quickly made a name for herself in WWE NXT. Just four years after joining the company and reporting to the Performance Center, she has already collected significant titles. Jordan made history as the first NXT Women’s North American Champion and also secured the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) Knockouts Championship. At the recent Heatwave event, she defeated Kendal Grey to clinch the NXT Women’s Championship on her first attempt.
Reflections on Success
During an interview with OutKick Dropkick, Jordan expressed her thoughts on her accomplishments. “It feels great. It serves as a reminder that whenever I feel down or stagnant, I’ve achieved significant milestones like being the first-ever North American champion and a TNA Knockouts champion. Now, as the NXT women’s champion, it’s clear that I am a force to be reckoned with,” she shared.
Demanding Respect in the Ring
Jordan has consistently proven her worth, demanding respect from fans and fellow wrestlers. She stated in May that she outperformed women who were promoted to Raw and SmackDown following WrestleMania 42. Now, as the champion, she has undeniable proof of her capabilities.
Challengers Emerge
Recently, Jaida Parker stepped up to challenge Jordan for the NXT Women’s Championship. Parker enters this clash with momentum, having secured a submission match victory against Nattie at Heatwave. While acknowledging Parker’s verbal skills, Jordan remains confident in her ability to back up her words with action. “I’m ready for Jaida’s games. She can talk, but when she’s in the ring with me, talking won’t be enough,” Jordan noted.
The match for the NXT Women’s Championship between Jordan and Parker is set to air on the CW Network this coming Tuesday.
