The controversy began when the board initially added President Donald Trump’s name to the Kennedy Center earlier in February. However, the signage was removed in June, sparking further debate. The board’s attempt to reintroduce the name has led to a legal challenge by Rep. Beatty, who filed the motion late Thursday night.
