El-Sayed’s Controversial Remarks Stir Debate

The internet is buzzing following controversial comments by Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. He targeted second lady Usha Vance, which has led to questions about his treatment of women.

Former Florida state Rep. Ben Graber commented, “El-Sayed is now attacking wives of US leaders? What a guy.” El-Sayed is campaigning against Republican Mike Rogers and recently responded to Vice President JD Vance, who criticized his advocacy of Sharia law, saying it was alien to his grandfather.

El-Sayed remarked, “So do we think JD is taking Usha with him back in time to meet Papaw, or no…,” hinting at the second lady’s Indian heritage.

Fox News Digital reached out to El-Sayed’s campaign for clarification, but received no response.

Some political figures have expressed outrage over El-Sayed’s comments. Texas Rep. Brandon Gill questioned why El-Sayed assumed all white midwestern grandparents are racist. Commentator Ryan Girdusky added, “If you’re a rural white American living in Michigan, just remember El-Sayed believes you’re a racist.” A social media account supporting Mike Rogers called El-Sayed’s comments “deeply sexist,” accusing him of contempt for women.

Emily Schrader, a journalist, called El-Sayed “a racist creep,” while GOP strategist Matt Whitlock labeled his campaign as having “bad instincts.” Former gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon suggested that El-Sayed’s behavior towards women outside his political arena could indicate how he might treat female staffers if elected.

El-Sayed further criticized Natalie Harp, an aide to President Donald Trump, using social media to question her professional relationship with Trump. This attack came after Harp was implicated in rumors regarding Trump.

Fox News Digital sought comments from the vice president’s office and Usha Vance’s representative, but they did not immediately respond.
