Authorities in Chicago are investigating a homicide after discovering the body of a 59-year-old man with cuts and facial trauma. The body was found early Thursday morning in the Grand Crossing neighborhood.
According to police, the victim was located in the 300 block of West 76th Street just before 5:15 a.m. He suffered from lacerations and facial trauma and was transported to UChicago Medicine, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday to determine the exact cause of death.
Detectives from the Wentworth Area are actively investigating the circumstances of his death. As of now, no arrests have been made.
