Police have pinpointed the suspect accused of terrorizing women on Philadelphia’s streets. Residents are being advised to keep an eye out as he may have escaped Pennsylvania.
Zymire Hughes, aged 22, currently has an arrest warrant against him, the police report. Hughes is believed to have worn a disturbing Chucky-style Halloween mask while assaulting a woman. In the encounter, he allegedly pursued and harassed her last Wednesday.
Concerning Incident
This masked suspect is identified as Zymire Hughes, 22, with an active arrest warrant, according to the police. He reportedly shouted at a woman, asking if she was “ready to die” while chasing other individuals, police informed FOX 29.
Surveillance cameras allegedly captured Hughes approaching individuals in the city. A local Dunkin’ Donuts denied him service due to the mask he was wearing.
Surveillance and Confrontation
Police released an image showing the doll-masked suspect alongside footage of him allegedly pursuing a victim near City Hall. After causing fear among several people, the masked man met a woman ready to defend herself.
Jameka Wilson, who is trained in combat, confronted Hughes when he allegedly threatened her. “He was not guarding his midsection, so she kicked him hard in the chest, causing him to stumble and flee,” she explained.
Description and Connections
Authorities mention Hughes may have ties to California and Nevada. He is described as a Black male with a medium complexion, standing 5-foot-8, with a thin build. Hughes was last seen wearing a white Chucky-style Halloween mask with black hair and carrying a black/blue plaid backpack.
