President Trump and Michael Cohen Reunite for Radio Interview

2 hours ago 0

President Donald Trump participated in an unexpected interview with his former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, who has previously been an adversary. The two discussed their reconciliation and past experiences during a radio show hosted by Cohen. In this first part of a two-part series, Cohen reminisced about a 2016 CNN interview with Brianna Keilar. During that interview, he famously questioned Trump’s low polling numbers, generating widespread attention.

Cohen recalled asking, ‘Says who?’ which became a viral moment. Trump responded to Cohen’s memory by indicating that the media had unfairly used Cohen against him. ‘They weaponized you like nobody’s ever been weaponized,’ Trump remarked, noting that both of them had faced media scrutiny.

Cohen and Trump used the radio platform to discuss the media’s portrayal of them. They criticized outlets such as CNN and The New York Times for their handling of poll results and news coverage. Cohen highlighted that CNN never apologized or retracted their statements, maintaining that left-leaning outlets continue similar coverage.

Trump expressed concerns about media polls and described them as biased. ‘The polls are crooked,’ he stated, accusing The New York Times of dishonesty. Despite his criticisms, Trump acknowledged that not all journalists are untrustworthy, emphasizing the presence of quality reporters as well.

The program marked the first public dialogue between Trump and Cohen in almost a decade. Cohen’s radio show, where the interview debuted, will air the second segment on Sunday. The conversation lasted approximately 40 minutes and provided a glimpse into the duo’s new dynamic following years of opposition.

Efforts to obtain comments from CNN, MS NOW, and The New York Times were unreturned. Cohen, who contributed crucial testimony in two New York cases against Trump, documented the encounter in a Substack post, outlining their notable reunion.

Fox News Digital also provided insights into the broadcast, with contributions from associate editor Lindsay Kornick, who invites story tips via email or Twitter.
