A 49-year-old motorcyclist died after being hit by a sedan Wednesday night on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, reported by local police.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. The motorcyclist was traveling south in the 400 block of South Lake Shore Drive within the Loop neighborhood when a gray sedan moving in the same direction collided with her, according to police.
After the crash, the motorcyclist was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead. The driver of the sedan, a 25-year-old, did not suffer any injuries. Authorities took the driver into custody at the scene.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Major Accident Investigation Unit.
