Kellan Lutz Explains Move from California to Tennessee

2 hours ago 0

Kellan Lutz recently shared insights about his decision to relocate from California to Tennessee three years ago. Speaking with Michael Rosenbaum on the podcast “Inside of You,” the “Twilight” actor revealed that the move was influenced by the birth of his second child and the changes brought about by the pandemic.

Lutz and his wife, Brittany, made the transition from Orange County. Although Brittany hopes to return or maintain a bi-coastal lifestyle, their current focus is on family support and community. Brittany, originally from Orange County, found herself without a support system during Kellan’s work commitments. This led them to relocate to Tennessee where her family had also moved post-COVID.

“A lot of families left California after the pandemic,” Lutz explained. “People were looking for more peaceful settings. We followed Brittany’s family to Tennessee to ensure she had help with the kids when I was away.” The move allowed them to acquire land and join a welcoming community with Bible studies, churches, and supportive friends.

Lutz acknowledged that being closer to family has been beneficial, especially when health issues arose with their children. The presence of extended family offered essential support for new parents navigating life’s challenges.

The move to Tennessee has been positive for the Lutz family, although it came with some adjustments. “We aren’t used to seasons,” he noted, referring to the weather changes, including tornadoes that concern his wife. Additionally, they miss the culinary options in California, particularly sushi and Mexican cuisine.

Despite these challenges, Lutz has discovered a thriving entertainment scene in Franklin, attending more film premieres there than in Los Angeles. He appreciates the community’s vibrancy and plans to continue enjoying their Tennessee lifestyle, even if future decisions may lead them elsewhere.
