Scott Eastwood Reflects on Clint Eastwood’s Set Conduct

Scott Eastwood recently opened up about his father, Clint Eastwood’s conduct on movie sets. In a conversation on the “Armchair Expert” podcast, Scott explained that his father commanded immense respect without raising his voice.

He recounted an incident involving actor Kevin Costner during the filming of “A Perfect World.” Scott described how Costner delayed shooting by not leaving his trailer. Clint Eastwood, both the director and a star of the film, reacted calmly and firmly instructed that Costner should be sent home. According to Scott, this decision led to Costner returning the next day, ready to work.

“I think the next day he was on set ready to go,” Scott mentioned.

Scott Eastwood also discussed the influence of growing up with a famous father and how it shaped his professional behavior. He recalled witnessing troubling behavior on sets but acknowledged his father’s effort in shielding him and his siblings from negative aspects associated with early fame.

During “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, Scott credited his upbringing on film sets with his father for helping him recognize acceptable conduct in professional settings. He emphasized that his father’s choice to raise the family outside of Los Angeles contributed to a relatively normal childhood, even with Clint’s Hollywood status.

“Kudos to my dad, because he did a really good job of protecting us from that and very private,” Scott remarked.
